Alkmaar is a beautiful town just 40 minutes drive from Amsterdam by train or car. Almost a miniature Amsterdam it is a great way to avoid the biggest crowds and stil enjoy a historical market square where I will you the stories that belong to this place. I take you back to Holland of the Golden Age, the historical battle against the Spanish and the unique little streets of the old Town. On a friday we could visit the Cheese Market, but on other days there is also enough cheese to go around. A unique little trip away from the crowds.
